Most people will recommend leaving Home Assistant directly wired to your network. For some this might not be practical, and for others with a wireless mesh, there might be better redundancy. You can opt for a wired and wireless connection to give better network redundancy.
To enable a wifi connection. Click on Settings on the lower area of the left panel.

Click on System

Click on Network

Click on WLAN0

Click on Wi-Fi and then click SCAN FOR ACCESS POINTS

Click on your access point.

Depending on your preference, you can either set a static IP address or leave automatic.

Select the encryption method and enter your Wi-Fi password. Click Save.

Our final basic configuration will be to Configure SSH and File Editor.
